Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Jordan (Amman). Transportation to Wadi Rum where you will meet the horses and the desert of Wadi Rum. Overnight stay in a luxury camp with bathroom (hot water) in a fairy-tale tent.

Day 2. Visit to Petra.  Once in Jordan is is a must see how the Nabateans build a famous city out of the rocks. A world heritage site, one of the New Seven Wonders of the world. Overnight in the same camp in Wadi Rum.

Day 3. Start with choosing the horse that will best fit to you and your riding qualities. Today you will learn more about the Wadi Rum, the culture and history, see some inscriptions an petroglyphes. Getting used to your horse and follow up some special instructions about your horse.  Enjoying the nice temperature and become friends with your horse. Camping on the track, the guide will choose a good spot out of the wind. Small tents are available, but would it be a once in a life time experience to sleep under the stars?

Day 4. Second day of horse riding. See the different colors of the rocks and the sand. Experience all the time a different landscape. From sand dunes to rocky areas, mountains and passing gorges, Admiring natural rock bridges and the marvelous sculptures of the rocks. Getting a special bond with your Bedouin horse. Trot and canter more times in the vast desert.

Day 5. Experience how Nabateans, Romans and Bedouin collect water from the mountains for drenching the animals and of course the horses too. Today we will start to head to Aqaba. Slowly the landscape will change to the purple mountains famous for the surroundings of Aqaba. More accacia trees will appear on the track. The temperature will rise as Aqaba is a subtropical place. One more time we will make up our camp and have the last delicious dinner in the desert.

Day 6. Today we will arrive near Aqaba with the horses. Following the old road of pilgrim and trade caravaans. The last day of wandering through the desert of Jordan with your horse. You will be transported to a nice place on South Beach, on walking distance of the Red Sea. With a swimming pool available. Possibility for renting snorkeling gear to explore the tropical underwater world of the Red Sea. Dinner included.

Day 7. Free to explore Aqaba and to enjoy the sun, beach and sea.

Day 8. Transportation to the airport in Amman.
